Regarding Student Health Management and Ongoing Measures

Thank you very much for your continued trust and support of B’Cebu.

Since early February 2026, some students on campus have reported gastrointestinal symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea.
We deeply recognize the concern and inconvenience this situation has caused to our students and their families.

In particular, among some newly enrolled students who joined in early February, infectious gastrointestinal symptoms were observed, and a portion of the student population visited the campus clinic due to symptoms such as abdominal pain and cold-like conditions.

Our school has been working closely with local medical institutions and has continuously monitored the situation. While similar symptoms were observed through late February, the overall condition has now stabilized, and the impact on students’ daily lives is currently limited.

Based on ongoing monitoring in cooperation with medical professionals, we have comprehensively reviewed multiple possible causes—including water, food, and external environmental factors. Rather than attributing the situation to a single cause, we have implemented broad and comprehensive improvement measures considering all possibilities.

[Key Measures Implemented to Date]

In responding to this matter, we have prioritized student safety and recovery, and have implemented the following measures:

Conducted a full inspection of drinking water and living conditions, and improved water quality by switching to a new water supplier
Improved hygiene conditions and expanded facilities in the catering kitchen, along with strengthened regular inspections
Reinforced and strictly implemented regular disinfection of classrooms, common areas, and restrooms
Additionally, we have entered into an annual contract with Rentokil, a globally recognized hygiene management company, and initiated twice-monthly high-standard sanitation services
Provided medical consultation support and facilitated referrals to medical institutions for students with symptoms
Adjusted meal provision methods and offered individualized support as needed
Provided care rooms for unwell students, along with special meals and hydration support
Expanded on-campus clinic services

As a result of these measures, the number of students visiting the clinic due to related symptoms has shown a decreasing trend, and the overall situation is currently considered stable compared to the initial phase.

[Future Measures]

We will continue to collaborate closely with medical institutions while maintaining ongoing monitoring and preventive measures.
In addition, we will further strengthen our hygiene management system and continuously improve our efforts to prevent recurrence.

[Closing Remarks]

We sincerely acknowledge the concern this matter has caused.
As this situation occurred within our campus, regardless of the specific cause, we believe that the responsibility for causing concern to our students and their families lies with our institution.

Taking this incident as an opportunity, B’Cebu is committed to evolving into one of the safest and most trusted educational institutions in the Philippines.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for the concern caused, and we greatly appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Sincerely,

All Staff of B’Cebu
